Computers are everywhere, aren't they? I mean, you may think you drive your car. You actually don't, because between the steering column and the wheels is a nifty little computer that does it for you. Even the TV my dad got last Christmas has a computer in it that lets me get on Pandora Radio and YouTube. Yeah.
And, just in the last four years, the standard RAM on a computer has doubled from 2 gigs to 4. Why? Do we really do that much more crap on our computers now than we did then? The answer, of course, is yes.
We do so much shit on our computers I can barely think straight. Look at me, for instance. Here I am at 4:30 in the morning, knowing perfectly well that I will have to get up in four hours, posting a blog entry that no one will read. Of course, admitting this all in type will do not a thing to change my sleeping habits. I will undoubtedly waste my sleeping time on a computer again and again.
So here's my ponderous (which I recently learned means "heavy", not "of a pondering nature") question: What would happen if all the computers in the world failed? It's by no means an original question, but a good one to think on none the less.

just a theory
Just a theory that I've been thinking about for the better part of a year. So here goes.
What kind of selfish god expects followers to take time out of their lives solely for the purpose of deity worship? Couldn't that time be better spent in service to others, giving aid to those in need?
Seriously. If I was whatever deity is up there, if any (I don't effing know, ok?), the whole devout worship thing would get super duper old after the first millennium or so. I would find it really awkward. Although, I'm not god.
